THRALL/GLORIANNA: 'THE OBJECT OF MY POSSESSION' by Walter Sablotny III
PAGE TWO
(4 panels)
PANEL ONE:
In an adjoining section of the impact site we are introduced to THERAN, who has passed out while leaning against an adjacent wall that faced away from the blast. THERAN is the local drunk, who sneaks up to the ruins to enjoy his vino in the peace and quiet, away from his nagging wife and six children. He is awakened from his drunken stupor (indicate this fact by placing an empty wineskin near him) by the lightning strike mentioned on PAGE ONE, PANEL TWO.
1.THERAN: UHHHH!
PANEL TWO:
THERAN rises and stumbles around the wall that served as his blast-shelter. Shielding his eyes from the intensity of the new-ignited fires, he surveys the situation while grumbling to himself.
2.THERAN: Gettin' so's a man c'nt e'en has a grink in peace...
PANEL THREE:
Cut away to a tight CLOSE-UP of THERAN'S face. From his expression, you can see he has snapped sober, his face showing a mixture of awe and confusion.
3.THERAN: GASP!
PANEL FOUR:
We see a closer, more detailed shot of THRALL lying unconscious among the rubble, just as she was descrinbed on PAGE ONE, PANEL THREE. THERAN looks on with further uncertainty. ARTIST'S NOTE: For this sequence to work out you'll need to draw SKAR, the sword, in the shot as well, between THRALL and THERAN.
